Permanent Jewellery Frequent Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Do I need to book an appointment for permanent jewellery?

No, there's no need to book an appointment! Walk-in clients are welcome. Simply visit our shop during operating hours, and we'll assist you.

2. What is permanent jewellery?

Permanent jewellery is custom-fitted, clasp-less jewellery, including bracelets, necklaces, anklets and rings that are welded around your wrist, ankle, neck or finger, using a jump ring to connect the chain.

It’s a unique and lasting accessory that’s lightweight, comfortable, and designed to stay with you.

3. Will the process hurt?

Not at all! The process involves welding a small jump ring with a quick, spark-like zap. It’s completely safe and painless, with no direct contact with your skin.

4. Can I remove my permanent jewellery if I need to?

Yes, while permanent jewellery is designed to stay on, it can be removed if necessary. Use small scissors or wire cutters to snip the chain at the welded jump ring. If you’d like it reattached, bring it back, and we’ll weld it again for a small fee.

5. Do I need to remove my permanent jewellery for medical procedures?

In most cases, permanent jewellery is not required to be removed for medical reasons, such as scans or X-rays. However, if a healthcare professional advises removal, you can easily snip it off at the jump ring and have it rewelded later.

6. Can I wear permanent jewellery while traveling?

Absolutely! Permanent jewellery shouldn’t cause any issues at airport security. If you ever encounter a situation where removal is required (such as for specific work or customs regulations), it’s easy to cut off and reattach later (a reminder to cut it off at the join/jump ring).

7. What materials are used for permanent jewellery?

We use high-quality, hypoallergenic materials and offer 9ct solid gold, gold-filled, and sterling silver permanent jewellery, ensuring durability and minimal risk of irritation.

8. How long does the process take?

The process is quick and usually takes around 10-15 minutes per piece, depending on the style and chain you choose.

9. Can I bring a friend for matching pieces?

Of course! Permanent jewellery makes for a special bonding moment. Whether it’s for friendship, family, or partners, we’re happy to accommodate groups.

10. What happens if my jewellery breaks?

If your permanent jewellery breaks, don’t worry! Keep the chain, and we’ll repair or reattach it for you. Repair fees may apply depending on the extent of the damage.

11. Is permanent jewellery safe for children?

We recommend permanent jewellery for clients aged 12 and older.

12. What if I change my mind after getting permanent jewellery?

If you decide permanent jewellery isn’t for you, it’s easy to remove. Just snip it off at the welded link. The removal process doesn’t damage the chain, so you can always wear it with a clasp or have it rewelded later.
